Mourinho relishing clash with 'fantastic' Sir Alex Ferguson in Champions League - goal.com

The Portuguese also revealed that he was "ready" to take charge of England following his sacking as Chelsea manager, while reiterating his desire to return to the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho is relishing the chance to lock horns with the "fantastic" Sir Alex Ferguson when Real Madrid faces Manchester United in the Champions League.

The Red Devils travel to Santiago Bernabeu on Feb. 13 for the first leg of the two sides’ last-16 clash as the veteran managers meet for the 15th time.

Mourinho has bettered Sir Alex on seven occasions, losing just twice, but he has never won a Champions League tie at Old Trafford - and the Los Blancos boss is targeting a record 10th triumph in the tournament for his club after admitting retaining their La Liga crown is "impossible".

"The 10th Champions League is a target. But be aware that other teams may well win. We should work a lot for this, and especially this season because we are distanced in the league," Mourinho told RMC. "Manchester United's clash is fantastic. I prefer that. Ferguson is a fantastic example. He comes to see my team and I do the same."

Mourinho has often spoken of his wanting to return to the Premier League following his sacking as Chelsea boss in 2007, and has again reiterated this desire. The 49-year-old did admit that he was close to taking charge of England in 2008, but his commitment to Portugal saw him back away from the opportunity.

"One day, I want to return to England, he said. "I spent only three and a half years and I want to go back. But this is not a priority. Today, I just think about tomorrow's game and that's life for all coaches.

"I would like to coach the national team of Portugal and many people expect it there. I hope to know this experience and play a World Cup or Euro. In 2008, I was ready to take the English team. But for me, it was Portugal that I want, even if you never say never. But England is my first love and it will remain so."

Ronaldinho returning to Brazil squad after a long break.

On 22th January 2013 football fans got one of the best news over a long time: Luis Felipe Scolari invited Ronaldinho to Brazil squad that will face England on 6th February.

Luis Felipe Scolari who coached Brazil to it's fifth World Cup title in 2002 decided to give Ronaldinho a well deserved chance.
Ronaldinho who is currently 32-years old and plays for Brazilian top-team, Atletico Miniero, returning to Brazil's national team is the news everyone has been waiting for.
There were a lot of question marks over his returning but after Scolari was appointed as the head-coach of Brazil, people knew that it was only a matter of time - if Ronaldinho decides to stay in shape and work hard for it.
Now the only thing we all can do is wait until 6th February to see if one of the GREATEST footballers of all time still got his samba?

Never give up !

Now THAT'S a comeback.

TOP 3 transfer rumors in European football !

The winter-break is on it's way and let's take a look on the transfer rumors. We're going to sort out TOP3 rumors what could have the biggest impact on buying team or selling team. Let's take a look:

1) Theo Walcott to ManU, Nani to Arsenal.

This transfer is heating up in the last few days and it has a reason to do so. If we watch Arsenals recent form then we can see that after Arsene Wenger became the manager of Arsenal, things haven't been worse under his control since 1996.
Arsenal is currently in 7th position and has collected 24p in 16 games. They are behind the team in 1st position ( Manchester United ) by 15 points. WOW. Five winning games are between them and the leader. I'm sure that Arsenal isn't used to be 7th !
A lot of people speculated that after selling Robin van Persie to ManU, can they finish in TOP 5 in Premier League as they have done it for the past 16 years (!)?
Well. I was sure that there will be a little down-fall in their game but not as big as we are seeing right now !
The "good news" is that the point-difference between them and 5th place team right now, Tottenham, is only 2 points.
That's not so big cap and I think by the end of the season they'll finish 3rd in the league.
But now let's get to the rumor.
There have been some news in the past that Nani and Sir Alex Ferguson have not been in "the best relationship" over the past season. And now after Arsenal had it's humiliating loss to Bradford City who is currently in League Two and finished last year in 18th place the rumor has been heating up.
SAF has been admitting that he has some interest in Theo Walcott but no one knows why ? Their midfield is VERY good and I really can't see how Theo Walcott can help them even more ?
The team who would gain something out of it would be Arsenal cause even though Nani hasn't shined in the last season I'm pretty sure that he has some great potential when SAF would trust him a bit more.
In Arsenal he would definitely be one of the teams main-men and that would only be good to his form and playing skills.
But before winters transfer-window is closed we can't be sure at anything and we can only speculate !

2) Robert Lewandowski to Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund's CEO has admitted that they may sell Robert Lewandowski. He said that interest in Lewandowski is HUGE and one of the most linked team with that transfer has been ManU.
"As often as I talk to Robert, I have not left the impression that he wants to leave. If it is so, then we have to make some decision by the end of the season. The decisive factor can be our economic situation. We need to look is it better to sell him for a big price or hold him in the team so we can increase the chances of getting to Champions League so we can guarantee an income." said Hans-Joachim Watzke, the CEO of Borussia Dortmund.
So... Manchester United is interested in Lewandowski. Can't really see the point of that. They already have Rooney, van Persie and Chicharito - I wouldn't say that Lewandowski is better than any of those three.
He is a quality player who has scored 39 goals in 79 appearances for Dortmund but those numbers for Rooney are 135/263, van Persie 11/16 ( 96/194 for Arsenal ) and Javier Hernandez 28 goals in 65 matches so there is no need for Lewandowski in Manchester United's line-up.
If there is a team in need for a player like that, it's Arsenal. If Nani would go there and they add Lewandowski to the attacking-line that team would improve greatly in quality.
But as for the last rumor, we just need to wait and see.

3) Mario Balotelli leaving Manchester City.

If we believe The Daily Star than Mario Balotelli will be leaving Manchester City for only £10,000,000 !
"First in the line" is believed to be AC Milan and when I first heard the news that City wants to get rid of Balotelli I didn't believe it but when I heard that AC Milan are the ones who want to buy him, I started to believe it a lot more.
After selling Zlatan Ibrahimovic AC Milan would definitely need a quality-striker like Mario.
This young Italian scored 20 goals in 59 matches for Internatzionale and has scored 20 goals in 51 appearances for Manchester City. There is no doubt that he is a very-very good player but lack of discipline and commitment on the field and off the field have been worrying all of us - will he really waste his talent because of partying and not attending training-sessions?
Well we have a good news for that ! Mario became a father recently and I think it's a gift from God to him.
It is a clear sign that he needs to start maturing up if he wants to write himself into the football history-books.
Let's take a look to his trophy-cabinet:

Internazionale

Manchester City

Individual

That is a very impressing portfolio and I'm sure he would like to get some more.
The question of will he stay at City is the matter of will he grow up and be more mature ?
I have to admit - I'm impressed how Mancini has so much patience with him and I'm not surprised at all that he is starting to lose his patience with Mario after all the chances he has given to him, Mario still isn't taken himself together.
Only thing Mario has to do now is to ask Roberto Mancini out for a dinner and say to him "I promise that I'm going to concentrate on my family and football and stop all the nonsense I've been doing the past 4 years.".
Balotelli is definitely one of the fans favorite in Etihad Stadium and he has even been compared to Eric Cantona of Manchester City but if there is one thing he needs to be sure of it's this - MARIO, MATURE UP AND DON'T LET THE FANS DOWN.

I hope You enjoyed this article and I'm sorry for the HUGE spelling mistakes, but I tried my best and the only way I have learned English is watching Cartoon Network as a child and watching movies.
I can't be sure when I'll write the next article but as soon as there are any big news - I'll do it !
THANK YOU ALL for reading !
